Having a supply of emergency videos...?

LuiC

I sing and vlog stuff
Or just telling people: "Sorry I haven't uploaded due to..."
Obviously to stay with your upload schedule and the adventures of life, is it a good idea to film more footage/prepare a video that's already edited and upload it? Or surrender to inactivity and create an apology video?

What's your opinion?

I always try to have a weeks worth of videos ready to upload. That said, I currently have none and will be grinding it out tonight to make a couple. :)

It is good to have a back up but...I get lazy :P but I do sometimes upload extra videos and just schedule them in advance so just in case something comes up, my video will already be ready to go :)

And if you don't make a video on a particular day, you don't HAVE to make an apology video, I'm pretty sure your audience would prefer to see a new video than an apology video.

On the day that you're gone, busy, etc. I would suggest just make a small post on your youtube feed telling your subscribers "Hey Sorry things came up today...etc. etc." And if you wanted to you can also link an older video. Maybe you got some new subscribers that haven't seen some of your old content, or maybe a video kind of went under the radar, etc.

I try to but i end up spending more time helping everyone else make their videos and then f**k all to upload myself and with no one about to help me film it either

I'd say it would be good to have an emergency supply. It's better to be active and provide content rather than having people message you saying "Where did you go? Did you die?" :D
