Having a bit of a problem uploading.

Hey guys, whenever I try to upload a video youtube gives me an error saying the video didn't upload and then says the video might not be the right kind of file. The file im trying to upload is .avi so i'm not sure why its not working.

Try converting it to an mp4 file using handbrake. If that doesn't work then reply back :).

Hey sorry it took so long for me to reply. I tried using handbreak but I couldn't figure out how to work it. I would scan the .avi file, but when I press start it would say "You must first scan a source".

That's strange, the scanning should happen straight after you select a video from source. Are you sure the scanning was completed (there was no red stop sign to the top left) before you tried to convert the file.

Yeah I select the source video, it scans the video, on the bottom left corner it says ready, then I click start but it doesn't work. I wasn't sure why it wasn't working so I converted it in vegas pro but it still wouldn't upload.
Edit: Never mind I'm dumb, youtube only likes .wmv files.
