Have You Developed a "Fan-Base" yet?

Sad to say, I don't have a loyal subscribers and I realized subscribers are not my besties. I am just relying on organic views from google, bing, yahoo, shares from fb and youtube.

I'd like to think so. People have talked to me at car meets, some asked to take a picture with me (rare, but it has happened in the past and also recently). So I interact with them personally or reply to their comments on my videos. Right now I can pretty much reply to every comment I get, and I will continue to do that till I can't no more.

I'd say so. I try to respond to at least 95% or more of the comments. It would actually be much higher if YT wouldn't glitch out and hide comments and/or not let me respond to some lol. And then I sometimes double/triple respond to their responses which BAM, boosts my sub counts instantly.

I hate it when Youtube glitches the comments. There this one comment that I can never see on my videos, but I get notified about the same comment like 3 times a day. It drives me insane haha.

We have started a shout out series on our more casual videos and encourage those youtubers to make comments on a lot of videos, not just ours and really be involved with the small youtube community. We do have a few subs that comment frequently which is always so rewarding, not sure if we could call what we have a fanbase though.

I do have a few that consistently watch and comment. Since my videos are all under 3 minutes, I have a lot of binge watchers, and they tend to not comment. Im going to start focusing more on ways to get people to want to comment.

i wouldn't say 'Fan-base' either but I have around 3-4 people that regularly keep an eye on my channel. By which I mean they comment on maybe every other video. And when I take a long break and then upload they'll be like 'Glad you are back' kind of thing.

Although bare in mind there are people that watch out videos consistently but don't really comment.

I could almost guarantee each video will get a minimum (I might jinx it now) of 30 views. Maybe that means there are around 25ish core viewers that watch every upload..

In my latest video i have a comment from someone I thought was new. When I said I hope you stick around they said that they love all my content.

Definitely trying to build that community and core base!

I do not really have a fan base yet, but it is something I would love having one day. Most of the people that watch and comment on my videos are from school, which can be quite embarrassing. But with the interaction part just make it simple, smile and have a good time. If people are taking time to notice you, notice them and always give them respect and a sense of interest in what they have to say. If you do this other people will notice it and maybe it will help your channel grow!
