Have I been botted?!

What's being "botted"? (I'm so lame, lol... Embarassing.)

I wouldn't worry about it, whatever it is, unless something bad actually does occur.

I came on here just to post the same thing...my most recent video sat at 129-ish views for 3 weeks, then all of a sudden yesterday, it went to 250 and then now at 301+, and there's like 215 likes and no comments...any possibility that someones specifically targeting YTTalk users channels??? o.O its jsut so odd seeing so many of you have the same problem as me at the same time...

I have uploaded my latest video (the one in my signature) 5 days ago and it had the average amount of views I usually get (around 60-70 I think).

And then something weird started to happen today. It suddenly started to receive a large number of views and likes. As for now realtime analytics is showing 400 estimated views and the video already got 255 likes. It's locked at 301+ views though. You probably know that Youtube locks a video to 301+ views until the views are confirmed as legitimate.

This situation worries me a lot. I didn't do anything to generate artificial traffic to my video. The only thing I did yesterday was posting the video on 3 different facebook youtube gamer groups. Do You think that someone tries to hurt my channel by generating illegitimate views / likes on my video? Should I contact Youtbe about this? I've seen some channels with most of their videos locked at 301+ views for months and I don't want my channel to become like that!

For now I have no way to check where those views are actually coming from, since Youtube analytics are always 2 days old. The only thing I was able to see was a notification on my twitter that a person called @zezimgameplays (from Brazil i think) liked this video.

edit:

I have noticed that this person also liked Squeal Cat's 1000 subs video and it's also now locked at 301+ with 270 likes!

@Squeal Cat

yeah its wierd man

@Ciarra deBritto @ellelletalk and my self have gone through the same thing.... really hope its not someone from this site doing it.. cause its happening to us yttalkers. we put our videos on private for a while and it stopped. give that a shot.

It stopped for now at 400 estimated views (no new views for an hour now). Should I contact Youtube or do anything else about this?

if it was in the thousands i would definitely contact them. i wouldn't worry too much about a few hundred. but if you are concerned for your channel do it.
