I've Got It
Hi, my name is Chris, I have a Channel called HatlessChimp it was originally created for subscribing to channels I liked so I could keep track of the video's and people I like. Then through various forums I started to make the odd helpful video for fellow forum members, I.e How to debezel a monitor. and Ultra-wide screen gaming with a Titan. They were mainly quick short videos to show something to someone on the other side of the world. To people I hadn't even meet in person! I did take some care with editing and presentation but in general I just trimmed the fat and uploaded them. At the moment I'm approaching 100,000 views for 14 videos and I have 90 subscribers.
I only started monetised the account about 6 months ago and made 60 dollars LOL but I'm still yet to receive that because I haven't earned over $100 LOL. Perhaps, my expenses will always outweigh my income! I may never make it into the black! But I wont let that stop me. I have tons of ideas and with my current job ramping down it has given me the opportunity in disguise to make more video more regularly (14-17 videos over 3 years will never cut the mustard.) My friend Jai is on board and scheduled his work to allow himself to contribute. He's lucky he can work from home.
So for the moment I'm ramping up production of videos, so investing more of my time and money has to happen. However the ideas in my head are just ideas and theory in my head is just knowledge, translating this into a product that is viewable, entertaining and enjoyable is another story. On a side note - I think TV and Cable companies are silly if they think they will continue with their domination. They have already lost the 24-35 year old males! The main group with expendable money! (They would already know this LOL).
So why am I hear asking if I seam to have a clue what I am doing? Well its all easy to make a video and like it yourself. We automatically connect with ourselves and the other in the videos. We know the time and effort it takes to make a video. A 3 minute video can take a day or even a week to make. We also only know the videos we like. We have our own opinions. We all have different tastes. I know my older videos are horrible but served a purpose, if you can look past the inadequacies. How ever when I tell people what I'm doing they say, "whats your channel name, Give me a look?", I always immediately deflect conversation to avoid showing them my videos LOL.
So here are my requirements for me and others to review YOUR video!
1. You must Review My Video - Tell me what you like and don't like. It can be extremely descriptive or very brief. However, "You reap what you sow".
2. You must review the 3rd last video in this thread - So find the 3rd last video what ever that may be and review it. At the start there is no 3rd video so don't worry.
3. Review a Random video in this thread of your choice - Pretty self explanatory.
ALL 3 REVIEWS MOST BE COMPLETED!
ALSO YOU CAN DO MORE IF YOU WISH! ;-)
If everyone sticks to these rules we will have a very productive thread! Don't expect any reviews if you don't adhere to them!
