I know a few people here watch him so I wanted thoughts. I just saw his Tumblr and I came across this picture (non-bloody self harm, discretion advised):

He's always said 'self harm is a sign of guilt/shame' and that he does not advocate it. He has a lot of fans who self harm as they look to him for some kind of guidance sometimes. But... wow. He's gone back on everything he ever said about it, by posting this picture.

I recognise and appreciate he's very ill (hell, he's told his parents he'll be committing suicide at 25 and they've AGREED to it), but I don't understand. Why burn that into your arm and take a photo immediately putting it online?

I know it's not nice to say 'attention seeking' when it comes to self harm, but all of the people I know who have self harmed have done anything but advertise the fact. Just seems kind of wrong knowing the type of audience he has.
 
Well....... Mentally unstable may not be the correct term but that's what I think seeing this :/
 
I gave up on him as soon as he started making religious vids continuously. Not that I have anything against religion being religious myself but just his views on it made me unsubbed. I'm subscribed to atheists ofc but him, nah, too caught up for my interests lol.

He's an Atheist though, has been for a while. He doesn't make religious videos any more.
 
I've seen a video or two of his - he has a lot of thoughts & opinions I see but why would he post that? Maybe he is making a statement?

I know he's an atheist now, I was subbed to him for years, he was religious and prayed constantly after he was raped etc... Oh wow, I can't believe I used to watch all those long videos of his. I wouldn't know, I unsubbed months ago.
 
Ive done similar stuff to this in the past, i was in a mix of mindset between wanting to self harm because of life being s**t but also wanting to do stuff like that to show to everyone that i am stronger then they are and can put my body through more then they could physically cope with. Kinda like trying to prove to everyone that i had the ability to do things that most others couldnt and that i wasnt just a loser

He doesn't like being skinny.

Which is weird since I saw a video about how he was an anorexic for a long time. But there are ways of gaining weight, if he sought help (his mum was anorexic too... from what I hear his family is a bit screwy)[DOUBLEPOST=1377804225,1377804180][/DOUBLEPOST]

I don't see 'I can get through this' in that picture though. He's made two posts about it tonight, and it just screams 'pity me'. All he ever posts are gifs and whatnot about suicide and stuff, it's kinda sick.

Lol, I was just about to ask how self harm is ever "fine".
