I searched but haven't found anything; I see Virool banner ads on here frequently, but I was just wondering if anyone here has actually used it. Does anyone have any actual experience with Virool?

Yes, thank you KGA. I'm tired of people calling retention views fake or bot views, when they're just embedded on Fb or Twitter. People leaving comments and rating are up to them.^ For everyone saying that the views are fake, obviously you don't know what you're talking about. Virool does not give you fake views. You pay for advertisement space, so all the views are 100% legit.
I've used Virool a few times, and unless your video is spectacular, you're going to get nothing more than views. What happens is you pay for advertisement space. So every time your ad is shown, it counts as a view on your video. The person has to click on the ad to actually go to the video page. So you don't get very many comments, ratings, or subscribers from it. Of course you may end up being one of those lucky ones who actually does.
Is it worth it? Not really. Sure, you'll get a lot of views from it, but you won't get very many subscribers, ratings, or comments. I suggest trying it out with a small budget first before investing $100+ into it.
Thanks! This was very beneficial. Which "many, many cheaper versions" should I look at?Do your research people! Virool is an AD CAMPAIGN, not 'buying views'. That's just a very loose term the banner adverts use to draw attention. All views are legitimate.
I've used Virool and you basically get approx 1,000 views for $100. You put your budget in, and the views tick up until the budget runs out, and then you're 'on your own' again, as you were before the campaign. It can bring in subscribers, and comments, but since you're not buying views but buying advertising space, there's no guarantee. The only reason they guarantee views is because of the sheer amount of people your advert is exposed to.
There are many, many cheaper versions out there. Virool is for people with $10k to drop on one campaign (like a music video or actual commercial for something etc), not really a random YouTuber looking for more views.
