Has any one ever had a youtube channel that succeeded when it had three different types of videos?

i want to start vlogging on a serious level made a couple but haven't uploaded them yet due to not being edited yet. but i also want to do the "motovlog" thing too.

I also live in the middle of no where and like to blow stuff up, and wanna post videos of stuff being blown up but i want it to be interactive as far as the subscribers requesting things to be blown up next.

so i guess i'm asking if all three of these style of videos can coexist on one channel and be successful?

Different types of content = More people

People like to watch different content and you will get more people because of that.

sweet, i just feel like it would annoy some subscribers to see stuff in their box that they don't like. i don't want to loose subs down the road due to conflict of content on my channel.

See that's sorta how I feel. I have a gaming channel but wanna do different types of "Game" videos but not just let's plays. Also game skits and whatnot. I've been leaning toward a second channel. Keep things nice and neat, besides advertise different channels on both channels.

that also crossed my train of though as well. but I feel like i'm the type of person that would stop making videos on the channel that's less popular. so cramming everything on to one channel and letting itself work its self out seems easier, let the people decide i guess. and gaming has a bigger fanbase then vloggers and all that especially on mainstream games like gta, cod and battlfield.

I have a skit/sketch/narrative channel along with a gaming/let's plays and a Behind the scenes channel.

The most successful has been my skit/sketch/narrative channel where I have different types of skits/sketches/narrative plot videos.

Yeah, stay with one channel, you will get a larger audience.

Even though what she is saying is right, having multiple genres on one channel isn't always a good thing. Sure, you are opening up to a larger audience, but that doesn't mean all of them are going to enjoy all the content.

Like let's say you upload vlogs. People watch the vlogs, and subscribe for them. When you start to upload other genres, those people who subscribed for vlogs maybe are not going to like the other stuff, and possibly unsubscribe.

I used to do vlogs and gaming, and I was always loosing subscribers because of it. Those who subscribed for vlogs didn't want to see gaming, and vice versa.

I have even unsubbed from people because they started uploading other genres that I wasn't interested in. I got tired of seeing those videos constantly in my feed. It's not what I subscribed too.

that's exactly what i'm worried about. its a conflict of content kind of thing. you like one thing they do but don't like the other stuff iv'e un-subbed from channels for that reason as well. its just hard to choose from the couple thing i want to do. a couple of channels is just to much maintenance schedule wize.

I do Let's plays but i also like to do do some vlog ._.
When i have the time for it and have something to say i post a vlog :)

Just do what you want to do mate, having lot's of channel normally it's more hard to manage then one full channel.
