That's just being greedy (don't worry, we all do that) and wanting more than you actually deserve right now. Of course you want to collaborate with a much larger channel-that usually gives you better odds to grow faster-but what's in it for them? There's no payoff for channels over 100k subs to work with one under 50 subs. And to put it rather harshly, channels of that size usually have a bunch of collabs lined up already, so they'd have to bump a major channel to work with you. Do you think that replacing a 100k sub channel with yours for a collaboration is a good business move for them?
You need to be realistic when it comes to collaborations and not overreach. Those other channels aren't being mean to you-I'm closing in on 200k subs and you don't want to know how many requests I get for collaborations from channels under 1k subs (less than .5 percent of my channel's size) that I ignore. There's simply not enough time to send out that many rejection notices and those making the requests should know that I have plenty of options of channels over 100k subs to work with. At the same time, I'm not asking million sub channels for collabs either because they wouldn't benefit from me. A collaboration is just that-there has to be something in it for both sides.
