i put 2 step verification on everything recently when someone tried to hack me on facebook, they luckily failed, it can be annoying having to wait for a text with a code to access your account on different browsers or devices but it's worth it, twitter, facebook,youtube and even this site offer the option! if you want to protect your youtube i think you have to do it via google if it's connected to google obviously, im sure there is other ways to do it on youtube itself if you're not, best thing about doing it via google is it protects your gmail and stuff too
