the trick I use, is search for videos with popular terms. Type something in the Youtube search bar. click on filters. Filter on "Last hour".

Search videos which has some views or seems to have potential. You could comment, and the less popular videos does catch the attention of the person who uploaded the video. It did help me to get some subs.
