Guerrilla Marketing

Factually True

I've Got It
I'm interested to know if anyone has tried some form of guerrilla marketing to promote their channels? For those of you who don't know, guerrilla marketing basically means low-budget, unconventional marketing strategies, usually using the environment to your benefit.

I remember reading somewhere this idea that you could for example buy some stickers with your channel name etc. printed on them and plant them in places with a lot of traffic. For example I could imagine that slapping one on the back of a seat in a bus or a train might attract a few views from some bored commuters. Or maybe a public toilet wall? People always like to read something on the toilet! :laugh2:

Now it's worth mentioning that this is probably not entirely legal, but I'd be surprised if someone actually got into some trouble by doing this. Anyways, interesting idea! Has anyone ever tried something similar? Or do you have any other forms of guerrilla marketing in mind that you might try someday?

It seems a little... Cringy to me personally. Mind you I live in a town with less than 5000 people so I imagine that may be part of why. I just imagine people being like 'why should we watch a guy who carves his channel into gas station bathrooms?'

The idea is just to grasp attention. Either someone goes: "Oh, what's that?", or they ignore it, but I doubt it would do you any harm. Though I understand the point of living in a small town, and that's not where it would work either probably, since the reach would be quite small and obviously a huge majority of people don't search the internet for stuff they read on the bathroom wall. It's more effective in large cities. Imagine being on a vacation in New York, London etc. and having a couple of stickers with you.

Ya, biggest small town problem is the people who would see it probably know who I am (there are only so many people walking around in the middle of the night wearing a Pokemon and entering locked buildings after all) and it's not something that I think would go over well

Or you can get a bunch of people that see your stickers, get tired of it and then bash your channel LOL - ya never know. I could see it kind of working though- if I stuck a sticker at a really high traffic place in my city I may get a view or two.
