You keep saying that it only takes 1-5 minutes to record a clip. But in 99% of instances, that is not the case at all. Hours upon hours of game-play are recorded and then highlights are selected. Do you really think you will get any interesting game-play by simply recording for 5 minutes? Maybe if you are content with mediocre content that won't get any views. Honestly, quit insulting the people that are submitting you content by pretending that they barely did any work.

Now that I do agree with "omgurheadsgone" to a point, I personally do 15-20 minute segment recording while doing full playthroughs of the game, but it takes me like 30-40 minutes just to set up. Tho I did watch your video and the clips are nicely edited together. I don't know if you added any effects or anything.

Okay, but some of my videos literally take hours of recording to get the clips I want. And on most of my videos I add the audio after, sometimes getting the commentary just to my perfection takes another hour or two. It is never one take.

Ok but thats not how everyone does it. Really it's your choice to do it that way. I'm in no way saying I like the idea of community channels, because I don't. Still tho, people who willing summit clips do it by their own will. Showing hate to the person they summit them to is alittle silly. In the same token, saying people recording the clips only taking 5-10 minutes to get is also just wrong.

I should have made my point more clear. I think that current community channels that have already grown a rather large subscriber base, without a doubt offer something worthwhile to the clip submitter, as far as promotion and channel exposure goes. But at this point IMO, almost all new community channels that just mimic current bigger youtube channels, have a motive that generally isn't just to grow and then help all their clip submitters grow, but rather their goal is just to grow off of easily uploading content that they didn't put any effort into making, and then make easy money from it.
Once they get bigger this leads them into making easy revenue from just contacting youtubers that put time and effort into making a video, and offering them "free" exposure via uploading their video, but the actual motive behind the original channel is just to make money doing almost nothing.
It's one thing for a youtuber that has already spent time growing their channel and uploading content that they put hard work into, giving smaller channels exposure with community videos, and a completely different thing when a channel is created entirely on the motive to get game play from other youtubers, with the intent to re-post it, and get views from doing nothing but contacting smaller youtube channels and posting their videos that they worked hard to make.
However, the Original Poster has stated that they are going to be making collaborations and montages from clips submitted, which I actually do think is a fair enough idea, because it requires him to utilize editing skills and content creating skills to make an interesting collaboration video that can appeal to a wide audience. So, I am perfectly okay with the OP making a community channel that creates highlight videos that will appeal to a wider audience and require a reasonable amount of work to plan out and edit/create.
So anyways, TL;DR -
OP, if you are only accepting quality gameplay clips and editing them together in a manner that attracts a wider audience, that is a great idea and keep pursuing it.
If you are just making another community channel that literally just re-uploads videos from other channels and leaves a link to the original channel/video in the description, then I disagree with your plan and think is b******t.

I'm trying to explain to you the purpose of the channel but you're obviously to ignorant. Some people don't like the idea but others don't. It's purely a matter of opinion. But you obviously don't like the idea. And I accept that. How you can say "One day you will realise you aren't a god given gift." is kind of sad to be honest. Just because I'm doing something you don't approve of doesn't give you the right to say that.
