Hello and welcome!
If you clicked on this you are trying to grow your channel.
No doubt it can be a very drawn out process, but only
if you don't know how to go about doing it.
The biggest mistakes I see
One of the biggest problems with people attempting
to grow there channel is not knowing how and turning
to the... 'shunned' ways of 'getting popular'.
Of course I am talking about the infamous sub4sub.
Another bad way I've heard of people getting views
is sitting there clicking refresh a billion times xD (really?)
BUT THAT'S OKAY!
because you didn't know how to grow your channel appropriately!
What to stay away from!
NO SUB4SUB!!!
Tell that refresh button to find someone else to push its button!
No Advertising on other videos! EVER!
Proper ways to grow
Collaborations
No doubt collabs are one of the best and fastest ways to grow!
But to make a collaboration effectively you have to know
the most effective way to make collabs.
When making a collaboration video you must first both offer
quality content! For example, 1080p or even 720p will do.
Make videos with someone who has the same goals as you,
BUT makes videos on different games!
Most people collaborate with other people who make the
exact same videos on the exact same games.
If you make videos on GTA V and you collab with someone else
who plays GTA V you aren't giving variety to your audience.
Think about that.
If you are watching your favorite youtuber and they do collabs
with other youtubers, you'll notice that one person
will make certain videos on one type of game and the other
person will make videos on different types.
For example Yogscast.
They all have collabs on their channels mostly on minecraft,
but their personal channels have completely separate content to bring
the viewer all sorts of content that way they don't go looking
somewhere else for different content.
To help explain this idea better
we will take a look at businesses!
In business terms this is called Conglomerate Merger.
By offering different products (types of videos) the consumer
doesn't have to go to another company for said products!
If you have ever been inside a walmart,
You'll notice that in most they have stores like
Subway, Mcdonalds, Haircut place, Eyeglass place.
They are placed there for a reason.
To give the consumer (your viewers) the
convenience of not having to go far to find what they need.
One thing you do want to stay away from is attempting to collab
with someone who has way more or way less subscribers than you.
You always want to make sure that both sides are getting something
out of the collaboration. If a guy with 50k subs collabs with a guy who has 100
the 50k subs guy isn't getting anything out of it.
If you have 100 subs try to do a collab with a person who has
250 subs. This will be more effective than having complete opposite stats.
This is what I've found to be the most efficient way to do
collaborations! If you have any further things that you notice I have missed
that you'd like to add to this post, comment below and I shall add it!
