Growing Pains

Hey, everyone! I understand the effects of consistency and persistence when it comes to growing YouTube channels, just to be clear. However, despite that I can't seem to attract an audience to my channel. I was hoping that you could take a glance over my channel, and maybe provide some insight. In this case, it'd be best to look through an outside perspective because that's where I want it to look best. Each and every episode, I've been making improvements so that eventually I can go forward knowing I reached my potential; however only having a channel for a few weeks I know I'm far from it. So, what do you think? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and take care. :D

Hey @ChrisTact!! So I just looked over your channel as a fresh outsider of course.
  • You've done a great job of uploading lots of content since just starting 3 weeks ago.
  • Game, commentary, webcam are top quality and crystal clear. Nicely done!
  • You don't have any sort of channel banner, branding, or logo. You're still early in the game but you can still mock up something in MS Paint. Or even if it's just text with your channel name and social icons to get you started. Or maybe you'll find something you like in the forums here where people are offering their artwork services.
  • Thumbnails: I'm torn on these since I'm used to seeing some sort of text as people will look at your thumbnail more than the actual link title. At the same time, your screenshots look clean without being cluttered with excess images and text. Maybe you can find a happy medium.
  • Fill out the video description boxes with an actual description. When I first started I took the easy route too. But a real, valid description will help you and your viewers as you shall discover if you check out the SEO section of this forum.
  • Lastly to address you comment above, there's too much gaming competition to expect the views to come naturally. Continuous, genuine interaction on various forums and videos will give you a boost.

Good luck!! :thumbsup2:

Thanks for the advice. :)
I'm definitely not an artsy person when it comes to visuals on my channel page, and I know it's just one of those things I need to put some effort into (I knew that was coming!). Just need to take a few hours and work on something I'd think others would appreciate.[DOUBLEPOST=1432360930,1432353754][/DOUBLEPOST]So, I put in some time and made channel art that I'M content with, but I'd like to know what you guys think. Thanks. :D

I would rate your channel
> Banner 8.5/10
> Avatar 8/10
> Thumbnails 7/10, u should put some text :)
> Video & Audio quality 9.5/10
> Make an intro and outro for ur videos :)
> Talking Power = 8.5/10
All the best for ur channel :)
