Hello all!

What is everyone’s thoughts on starting and growing a new YouTube channel in 2018? I am fortunate enough to be well versed with google advertising and having a steady job to fund promotions. However, I know this option isn’t available to everyone. What have you found to be be useful?

Social Media. It's key, in my opinion, these days to finding new subscribers and growing your audience. It's an extremely useful and free tool and I think all creators, if they're not already, should be using at least one of the many social media websites out there.

Personally I'm active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Recently I've found a lot of growth (certainly in terms of views) via Facebook, that may be in part due to the fact I've been sharing videos on my own personal profile page but as a small creator I think it helps to do this and build an audience through friends and family.

I have found getting free traffic is not that really hard and yes you can still start a new youtube channel the possibilities are still growing everyday.

In my opinion ads are good to send people to a landing page with a form of call to action...Youtube doesn't really operate like that: ads might get you eyeballs to your channel but you will still need to convince them to stay engaged on your channel.
That will take more than just a single video.....Organic traffic is the best way in my opinion to start a youtube traffic it will help give you a good reading of who your audience are ...using ads it will be difficult to measure your targeted audience
Optimize your channel
optimize your videos and promote the heck out of them and success will be yours

Hope that helps

Eh... Having something to say / show.
Sounds silly but the real question is:
No matter promoting or adpocalypse or anything
you can anytime in 2018 or 2019 etc.
to get a channel in youtube.
Whast it will be about?

If you remember life cycles keep repeating.
E.g a trend question some time back was
" does it worth to get an e.g. facebook page?"
:)

Hello and welcome to YTtalk. :)

"How to grow my channel?" questions like this are too general and this question has been asked and answered lots of times already. The answers don't really change - Growing a channel in 2018 is the same as it was in 2017. :)
