Doing bigger, and better things with your channel is great. Finding a formula that fits you, and your criteria is as well. However, personal growth is just as, if not more important. Putting too much focus on something such as your channel can cause you to be blindsided, and forget what's really important; you. Without you, your channel wouldn't exist, and the very lives you enrich will go hungry. Everyone has a place in the world, and no matter what anyone tells you, good or bad, you have to make the change; not them. Your friends and family can't do it, and you can't allow the haters to sway you.
If you try, and try to grow your YouTube channel. Using the same methods as others, and getting lackluster results, you are forgetting the biggest difference. It's you, not them. You are a brilliant person, with an exceptional mind, and a unique personality that helps define who you are. Don't worry about numbers, or obsess with whatever else is doing. Focus on what you love, what makes you happy. Share what you are passionate about with others, and just let them come to you.

Surround yourself with positive people, inspiring people, people that encourage you, and help make you want to be a better you.
