Grey Thumbnail?

It may be to do with your computer 'remembering' what was there before. I've had a similar problem before. I close all my desktop tabs and then deleted my browser history went back and it was sorted out. Try deleting your internet history and see if that works :)
 
My driving test video has been doing this for months but when I press it in video manager it comes up with a thumbnail I have no idea how to sort it!

It's been up for a year and has over 500 views now so I will just leave it. It seems to show up on my creator studio app as well so i guess it's just the main YouTube website haha

This happens to me a lot when I just upload videos! Sometimes it just takes a couple of minutes for my uploaded thumbnail to load, and sometimes I have to re-upload the thumbnail altogether! It's super annoying when you have to do it over and over :mad:
 
3+ hours and I can't get my latest video to have a thumbnail. Not even one provided by YT, let alone a custom one. There's just 4 grey boxes when I try to update the video information to have a thumbnail. Anyone else having this problem today? It's a first for me. What do you do?
