Anyone else think its funny how all of the "news" channels just talk about gossip and call it news? Like when was the last time they reported an event that wasn't on a twitter video or a twitter post? When do they talk about suicide bombings in Iraq and Syria which actually make legitimate news services?

It depends. I think obviously gossip between you and your friends is different, but when it comes to YouTube channels that run on gossip... HELL NO!

I suppose the rise of drama channels was inevitable given how the idea of Youtube as a legitimate source of entertainment is becoming mainstream. Youtube celebrities are slowly being acknowledged as actual celebrities and gossip is a driving force in celebrity culture.
It doesn't make them right or even tasteful, just an inevitable part of Youtube's evolution.
