Google+

I've actually been against G+ but I started to use it the other day and it's actually a great way to spread your videos.
Finally someone who agrees! The first like 10 videos I posted got no love but then at some point people started to +1 and share the newer ones, so it can work!

I switched to Google+, and in the process it created a Google+ "fan page" using my channel branding and it's not forcing me to use my real name. I don't see this as a bad thing - just another venue where we can share our videos and hopefully gain more viewers.

Also, because of this, I've been added to the circles of several big name YouTubers as well and that can't be a bad thing! :)

Time for me to poke holes lol,

1- You dont need to use your real name, anyone who does this already knew the risk.
2- You cannot impersonate youtube channels(At least you can till they click your name), Views+Subscribers shows who is the real person.
3- The link is changable to your username or what ever you wish just by going into your settings.
4- If you choose to not put a avatar that is your problem and your fault.
5- It was made for the soul purpose of bringing related ads to the community that most searches for it.
6- I poked holes in all your "Few", name some more LOL

Well that was fun.
  • They will find some way of making you do so, that is part of their plan, to make YouTube, a video site and social network combined.
  • You can set it so your channel redirects to the person you're impersonating's channel (there's still ways to tell the difference but alot of people don't know the way so they believe the person is legit.
  • That will be gone as G+ is fully integrated, out with /user in with /channel(id)
  • I can harder askn all those people in comments to get an avatar, I do use one, but 75% of those using a G+ channel don't seem to :|
  • Google + was? lol it was made as a competitor for Facebook
  • Holes re-sealed air tight ;)

see this is why i cant hold a intelligent conversation with people over the internet, i used facts, you used opinions...

prime examples..."They will find some way of making you do so" how do you know? you work for google?
"That will be gone as G+ is fully integrated" how do you know? you work for google?
"Google + was? lol it was made as a competitor for Facebook", according to the news maybe(Which most of time is just hyped to gain views and cause drama), but read their update messages more ^^, they plainly state "This is for better ad placements", if you realize if you go to a site once, all the google ads become ads for that website, and so on and so on as long as they have a current google ad running.

you work for google?
work with them, indeed, on a daily basis.

I know more information about things that will be changing on YouTube that most people will never expect, mostly around music and G+ but I'm under NDA ;)

This whole push has actually been a pretty smart move by Google, I think. Google+ wasn't exactly taking off for them, now at least more people will have an account. I'd like to add more people to my circle as well.

I was thinking it was a joke, but wow, this is actually true! They are not giving us a choice; they are actually sucking us into this whole Google+ thing like astronauts sucked into space through a gaping whole in the spaceship.
