Google Plus - Screamers

Hey Everyone. I was watching a video and scrolled down to the comments section, and there was a comment that said "LOOK... GOOGLE DECIDED TO CHANGE THE COMMENTS!" and it linked to a bit.ly link. So, me being foolish as i was, clicked on the link and there was some guy wit a bleached out face, static, loud, screaming noise. Frankly, i almost had a heart attack.... it scared the freaking daylights out of me, and probably landed me with a virus on my computer.

This is another flaw i've seen with the comments change. I know, some of you are going to say "Why'd you click it?" I was being foolish, and though it was legitimate.

Have any of you experienced this?

No, not really. I never open bit.ly links unless I know exactly what it is. E.g. from a trusted business.

We all make those mistakes..clicking links that we shouldn't (it's been a looooong time since I clicked on a link I didn't know about though lol..learned my lesson years ago). Hopefully it was just a screamer and not actually a virus :/ Yep it's so stupid. I knew this was going to happen as soon as I heard that Youtube was going to allow links in their comments. I said it'd be filled with spam and viruses. But people said that they'd probably only allow actual Youtube links and nothing else......sigh......Youtube making changes for the 'better'.

I hear it's actually an issue with the Google+ comments. More spam, less anonymous users, more things like viruses and screamers. It's terrible.
I kinda like G+ as a social network. But as a comment system? Forget it.

No, I have not experianced this, I have always known not to click a link that is not a legitimate website.

But seriously, this new comment system is nuts! I saw someone comment word to word of all 7 harry potter books! I also saw someone post the whole Avatar script too

Google Plus and YouTube do not work as 1! When is Google going to understand it! Sure, I will be cool with them giving us the option to merge them, such as Facebook and twitter, but don't literally shove it in our faces!

Imagine if Twitter brought Facebook. And Twitter started making facebook statuses 140 character limit and just imagine the chaos it would cause. This is a similar situation to what is happening now!

I defiantly agree! Allowing links was the stupidest idea ever made. I looked it up, and the link the i went to was some guy named "Jeff The Killer." The other thing is, there was this one comment that said "Here's a picture of a cute dog..." and it looked like a dog. Guess what happened when i clicked "Read More"... Nazi symbols and some other crap.
