Same reason I voluntarily started with the new channel one design.... Ever since I did the Google One Channel thing my views went up, a lot more coming from people clicking suggested videos which are mine after watching one of my popular videos. I just switched to Google + yesterday and now for some reason my account is linked to 5 google + channels which consist of 2 of the same channel (my main Youtube channel), my regular Google plus channel, and 2 other channels that are randomly there. These all have the same name by the way, but are linked to different areas.... I'm really confused.

I just don't like it because I can't change my avatar with it, even if I leave it for an hour it's still the same present kinda avatar, other than that I don't mind it too much.

What do you mean? You can change your G+ avatar picture, and it should update your YouTube profile pic as well...?

@KGATV I am also not happy about this "mandatory" stuff. I have multiple Google accounts from back when you had to have a separate account for every channel. I have good reasons for not wanting all of these channels under one "umbrella account", and I also want to be able to remain anonymous, so this pop-up which keeps asking me to use my real name is really the height of annoyance. I really, really don't want to have to manage up to 12 or more G+ accounts either.

I strongly object to having to give Google phone numbers, especially mobile phone numbers. No matter what they say about "account security", I am sure that the bottom line comes down to marketing demographics, not account security in any form. Google is holding YouTubers' accounts to ransom when it comes to longer running times for uploads and it is the only portal which has that requirement; i.e. to have to verify the account in question via a mobile phone number.

And yes, before you can even say it, I will say it for you and also give the refutation: "If you don't like the way Google does things go somewhere else".

I will gladly do that just as soon as you find me a portal which pays as well as YouTube does...but if Google goes much farther I will say "cash be blowed", and leave anyway!

What do you mean? You can change your G+ avatar picture, and it should update your YouTube profile pic as well...?

It updates on my G+ page, but not on my YouTube page, I'll try it again tonight but leave it there until morning.

I've noticed that they defaulted Youtube to link to my Google account that says my full name as well... I'm not sure if others can see it! Can somebody just go to my channel page and see if it blatantly says my full name next to my avatar? It's Munchito696. Please let me know if you see 5 accounts (including one that has a full name) on it somewhere. I'm not sure how other people see my account exactly...
