Everyone's complaining about the negatives, and I agree it's kinda clunky and there are drawbacks. However, there are a few changes that I think actually make it worth it.

  1. The automatic spam filter actually works now - Before comments were rarely flagged as spam even if it was flagged by users.   4. You can Edit your Comments - This one is pretty self explanatory.

I had no idea we couldn't edit comments before. That goes to show you how much I comment. :P

Yeah, all of this seems very neat, especially the spam filter. Hopefully the blacklist works better soon too. Some have said some words on their blacklist still appear from time to time. I also noticed the share on Google+ box last night. I totally unchecked it. :D
 
I don't like it, because I used to get top comments often and that would get me some interaction in my channel. Now I won't be getting top comments so often.
 
it's idiotic google+, so they take away our replies and inbox for comments, yea, caus that makes it alot better[DOUBLEPOST=1383851908,1383849233][/DOUBLEPOST]this is what they are doing

I know in the long term (hell, even short term as it seems to be helping already), it'll be extremely helpful for all of us. I don't mind that part. I just hate the look and how complicated it seems. Its current design is pretty crappy, but I know it can be fixed in due time.
 
My predictions of more changes Googletube will probably make:
-force youtubers to show their real faces. Refusal to do it will result in immediate termination of your account
-phone numbers and email addresses will be visible on your channels
-all R-rated and M-rated videos will be deleted. They will only allow G-rated and PG-rated vids
-there will no longer be swearing in comments. Doing so will result in termination of your account

WA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!! :bounce:

What you have to do to reply to comments is 1) link account with G+. 2) add person you want to reply to to your circles. 3) wait for them to add you back. 4) reply.

I haven't experienced this. As far as I was aware the circles are like groups you want to hang out with or some crap.
When someone comments on my video I can click the bell icon to read the comment and reply directly from there. This updates the comment in the video page. I haven't had to add anyone to any circles or wait for them to add me etc.

Haha... Yeah, I noticed a lot of people saying they've noticed results already with the new system. Of course, you have to dig for those tweets underneath the sea of complaints and all out verbal wars going on in the realm of Twitter-dom. I wish I could start testing it out for myself, but hey. Things takes time.
 
I hate that they've integrated Google+. I hate Google+ with every fiber of my being. It's messy and hard to navigate. Now that they've linked YouTube and Google+, I'm having a hard time finding where comments are being left and that sort of thing. I got a notification that someone commented on my channel page, but I can't find it anywhere and clicking the notification just leads me to a "404" error page. Stupid.

I tried this. And a popup message appeared saying I wasn't allowed to reply. Also tried directly in the video, as a reply to the post on G+ itself, all giving me the same popup. Also tried all after adding the guy, and was finally allowed once he added me back.
 
The new system annoys me. YouTube started annoying me the minute they intergrated Google+. I love Google for email and YouTube. But I hate Google+ because they are just trying to make another Facebook. Twitter already tried that and that's why I hate it. So yes, I do hate the new system.

I may like it in the future. But right now, it's a pain in my behind.

However, I do like the new system of replying. It's easier to see all the replies to one comment.
