Google Plus Commenting on YouTube - ALL G+ COMMENTS POSTS HERE

I'm getting the same problem. I'm not allowed to comment/reply to comments on my own video.. just WHAT?

Forcing us to use Google+ to comment, that I can live with. It's annoying, but I can work with it.
HOWEVER!, Integrating Google+ to the comment system to the point where you aren't allowed to reply is nothing but stupid, and annoys me beyond belief. I don't understand the logic behind this at all. I really hope its just a bug, and that it will be fixed within the next few days. Youtube is quite likely to receive tons of comments on this by angry youtubers, so I'm assuming it'll change.

Oh its no bug good sir. The logic is if they force people to have to link google+ to use youtube then they will get more people on their crappy networking site.

Google makes their money off of ads being served, not the number of comments. If you don't want to participate, then so be it.
Did you even see what I suggested? I never said not to join G+; I said to use AdBlock until Google feels the pain in their pocketbooks. They need to learn that they can't control us without repercussions.

Sorry, through all of the whining and complaining about a free website, I lost track of who was saying what.

Besides, Google doesn't control anybody. You can find and use other social and video hosting websites if you so choose.

I finally managed to reply to that damned comment, and the process required me to add the commenter on G+ and wait until he added me back. You will then be allowed to reply. That is not going to work. It won't do anything other than make sure YouTubers reply much less to their fans. a Youtuber who replies to 1000 comments/day won't be able to reply to more than 20 because he/she'll need the commenter to also add them. And really.. you can't possibly add a million people over the course of a year to be a good youtuber and get to know your fans.

Yep. It's an evil business practice.

I think that everyone who hates the change should use AdBlock. Together, we can hopefully put a big enough dent into Google's YouTube income to make them realize that they need to revert the change. Most people have no interest in G+, so there are enough of us to put a huge dent in the income. The only problem is that not enough YouTube creators and viewers view these forums, so we need to somehow make it more public for it to succeed.

Maybe we could make an official boycott thread here. Then all the YouTube creators who come here can make a video linking to the thread. There are also the Google support forums, but the thread would probably just be deleted.

I know one downside to my idea is that YouTube creators would not make even close to as much money, but there's no way to avoid that when making a dent in Google's income.

This is actually a really good idea. I found the forums because I wanted to find out what others felt about this p**s poor move and how it could be counteracted so if I was looking, a good few others probably are too. If a few notable people on YouTube made a video calling for adblock en masse there's a fair chance it'd catch on and hopefully go viral. The only problem is that, sadly, people are so worried about their ad revenue that many won't help.

I actually really dislike this, I don't want to use my real name when I comment on Youtube on my private profile, cause I want to maintain some degree of anonymity.

Forcing things down people's throats is not a good way (or smart way) to do it. It creates more problems. If a person doesn't like you, you can't make him change his mind or force him to like you.

Sure there are other video hosting sites out there, but they are not as popular as youtube.
