Google Name replacing username

it's almost 4am, i cant think up better title XD sorry.
Okay my YouTube just upgraded so now my name is displayed instead of my channel name.

Now i have those horrible [ 0 ] [ + ] [my pic] buttons at the topright and a lot of work to sort out a google profile which doesn't look easy to me ahhh youtube! what have you done!

yes i just saw that! there is the option to not change but they want a reason and s**t lol im in the middle of my batman marathon! i don't wanna think of a reason!

I think there's a way to reverse it. Just go to settings and there should be a way to revert it, at least there was one for me.
