Google Adwords for video overserve

Hey guys, wanted to ask you about this since it happened to me. I occasionally will run a good ad on a video to bring in some new viewers; nothing crazy, usually $1.33 a day for a week or two.

Then I thought I got botted. Google overserved my ad, and ran about $350 of ads in 10 hours. Earned thousands of views and nearly doubled my subscribers.

Does this happen often? Is it a fluke? Does anyone else use google Adwords for video?
 
I have treated it like an investment in my chnnel, just like a good mic or recording software. When you have less than 100 subs, spending $20 on ads can save nearly a month of growth
 
I had 1 ad set up for 1.50 a day and over the last week it got 1 click. with 404 impressions. Which is terrible. what is yours doing?

Wait I'm confused...Did Google charge you $350 or...?
