Good Way To Split Up Large Videos?

I've Got It
SO I have a couple of videos exceeding 50 minutes and I'm going to need to split them up at least twice so that I don't upload really long videos people will probably skip over. The problem is that during recording I didn't set any time stamps or mention that the video might be split up so stopping the video at nearly any point seems like a rude interruption. I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to stop a video midway without it seeming so abrupt? I recently got Vegas so I could edit the videos better (PowerDirector lacked a lot of stuff I need).

The best way I can think of is to maybe record a little bit of extra footage, something simple like the title screen or a pause screen, and say that you are ending the episode there. Maybe even just freeze the last frame and say it there. Otherwise you could just remove the last few seconds of commentary and plug it in there. That's all I could think of.

Maybe add in an outro card that leads to the next part of the video. And at the beginning of the second part, add an intro card linking back to the first if the viewer hadn't seen the first part yet.

Might as well go all out with this idea.

I think this idea would work well. Makes me think of Tobuscus' "LAST TIME! THIS TIME!" xD

2BFP just end their videos wherever they want so it's an option. But suggestions above are the way to go if you want to allow viewers to know the video is coming to an end. This is why I normally have the outro music start playing around 10-20 seconds before the video finishes, just like Markiplier or StoneMountain64 does. It lets your subscribers/viewers who are familiar with your content, know that the video is coming to an end. This way it's not so abrupt. Even new viewers will know it too, if they're familiar with people who use this method. I've even started overlapping the outro on top of the video where I actually start the end commentary like the part where I say "that's it for this video, blah blah blah". You can see this as an example of 1 of my vids I've linked from the starting point of the outro which is around 30 seconds (don't need to watch the whole vid): www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8OybyARCDA&feature=player_detailpage#t=800 just to give you an idea of how you can do it or how you can in future. Or you can also check out StoneMountain64's vid again I've linked it at the spot where it starts to end: www.youtube.com/watch?list=UUN-v-Xn9S7oYk0X2v1jx1Qg&v=ndwa5JI-Z0A&feature=player_detailpage#t=110 his is done slightly differently to mine or Markiplier's, but he makes all his outro voice overs separately to the video. I also recommend in future using a timer. lol I like to keep my vids at the 15min mark but having a timer helps so much cause if I'm about to do something like run or travel a long distance, I can pause the timer, travel and start the timer when action starts again, this allows me to get a better estimate of how much footage I'll have so that I don't end up with too little footage or too much. I use the timer on my G19 though.[DOUBLEPOST=1398573161,1398573135][/DOUBLEPOST]FFS it linked the entire bloody video. EDIT: Fixed, you'll have to copy and paste the links if they don't work. EDIT: Fixed again because apparently the short URLs don't link to times if you copy and paste.

Yeah I'll definitely do this. I've been editing this video for quite a while now as I really want it to be a fun watch. I'm going to try to cap the videos at around 12-15 minutes as I guess that's the general length that most youtubers use. At least all the big successful ones lol.
