Good things jar?

Has anyone done this? It's where you get a jar and decorate it, then whenever something makes you smile you write it down a bit of paper and through it in the jar. Then at New Year you open it up and read it.

I did a video reading mine out with a friend and saw a few when I searched. Has anyone else done this on or off camera? how did it go for you?
