You don't need a complicate intro. Look all these intros in YouTube. They are actually easy to make and not complicated at all

My advice would be to use Sony Vegas Pro. You can find lots of templates for great intros and there are tutorials on how to download the program. It's professional editing software too! Hope this helped.

You need Cinema4D to make 3D objects for the intros, where-as the intros are put together in Sony Vegas or most commonly Adobe After Effects.

If all you're doing is an intro, there are free downloadble demos of Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects that can take you a long, LONG way. The trial versions are full featured, if I recall correctly. They should be good for 1 month - plenty long enough to study up on some tutorials and make a short set of intros/outros/bumpers.

Ofcourse it will work on Windows Xp. And you can get it free. Try Searching on google how to get sony vegas pro. i highly recommend pro becouse it has masking features .Movie Studio Or Platinum's doesnt include masking features.
