Amazing buddy, like ive never seen so much depth to a game :O The open world is masive and theres so much to do...but even with loads to do its still enjoyable like every side quest seems worth it etc....and the graphics are unbelievable to :D

how is the combat? i couldnt get into the witcher 2 because the combat felt so weird

If you have steam you can find loads of cheap recent games. I currently bought the most recent heroes of might and magic game which is awesome as always. maybe look at some of the beta games they have as well?
