Good or Bad? download

Appears anyone can hit 'download' your video now.. Well any one paying £15.99 after free trial at least. I know you could always do this one way or another. But is making it easier a good idea? Is this damaging to original content creators? could it discourage shares/views instead? Whats the point of it? Who benefits?

Yeah, I don't like it either. Do they make it clear it's only for personal viewing and the video can't be shared? Even so, I don't like it. Once a video is available offline as a standalone file, the creator loses control.

We never have control of whatever we upload of text or whatever put in the internet. That is the only truth.
In Advanced settings of every video there are two options of licensing, Standard-Youtube or CC-Atribution.
In general, Youtube protects creators inside Youtube and except that doesn't seem to care for what happens outside Youtube...
To be honest and fair with Youtube though, seems they are making huge effort to discourage or delete duplicates or copyright infrigments.


Off topic, what happens to deleted or replaced by new thumbnails in videos? are they deleted or stored somewhere?
