Good idea? (character creation)

Well, I have a friend that wants to take part in my YouTube show, but doesn't have a camera. So, what I proposed was to create a character for him. My idea was that during the show, he'll randomly cut off a segment that's going on, and he'll start his. (he has a microphone)

I figured we could create a big character and storyline, where this guy is always on the show, but nobody knows who he is. It's just a voice. It could get people guess as to who they think it might be and whatnot. He's also gonna be going by a created name. If he used his real name, some people would know who he is.

Eh... It sounds much better in my head. Anyway, can you guys give me some opinions? Good idea? Bad idea? Maybe something extra I can do to make it better? XD

Well, anything can be done very well and very badly. It is all about execution. If you can do it well, do it. If you start and find it isn't working out, stop and try something else.

Like TB said above, execute it well...and you very well may be the next big thing, so plan carefully to ensure it works out!

That's how we got Angel. She wanted to be in our show but was too camerashy to be on youtube... so we just used her voice... and she became this..... disembodied voice thing that messes with our show.
