Good God I'm trying Reddit

I posted a video on there and it got around 100 views from it overnight. That is the only positive experience I have on Reddit. If you find a good subreddit, you can get a video a lot of views through there.

Reddit's a funny old place. There are sub reddits that allow you to post personal content but they would rather you didn't link your videos all the time. I've been told off and seen others too for advertising personal content. I use the site a lot so I know what you mean by not wanting to get ripped to shreds :p

Yeah, Reddit can be an odd place. There is a subreddit, /letsplayvideos, where people are meant to, and I emphasise MEANT TO share their video, then rate other peoples. In reality, I have found I am one of the few who actually rate other people's, most just dump their videos and expect people to watch without doing anything in return

My experience with Reddit was so far nice, since I usually post on small niche sub-reddits.
The responses are usually positive or constructive. The large reddits, from what I know, when it comes to promoting, people would down vote everyone so their things up top.

Reddit gave me a lot of subs when I started .
They loved my Hitman Absolution series .
Yesterday I posted my Stalker series on the stalker subreddit and people are upvoting the thread and are enjoying the pilot episode .
But before I posted my stuff there I started to post and I became a part of the community .
That's the only way to use reddit .
If you just post the video and wait for views and positive feedback , well good luck with that .

I've put a few videos in reddit, been ignored or got a few views, luckily not been bashed yet but I really don't understand what reddit is. How do you get involved there?

+1

It's the same as here or any online community. If someones's only contribution is to self-promote their stuff, then they're going to attract hate. On reddit, everyone checks out everyone's posting history. If all they see is links to videos from the same channel and not much else, then it doesn't usually end well.

Lol. Reddit has instilled so much fear in people. I spend a ton of time on there.
Following the rules is key. There are idiots like any place, but there are a lot of good people
Smaller sub reddits are better because the people are there for a specific reason.
I have not had the best luck with posting videos on reddit, but make sure if you do you are posting and interacting.
Just posting your own stuff and nothing else is frowned upon.

Lol that title made me laugh quite a bit. :roflmao2:

I've never shared videos on Reddit, but I wish you the best of luck.
