Good capture card?

I Love YTtalk
I would like to get into recording/streaming my console games. I'm a newb at capture cards.

Money isn't an issue for me, but affordable would be nice.

*insert joke for free capture card*

I use the elgato which is designed for the Xbox One and PS4, if you want a general idea for what the quality is like check out one of my videos... As for other graphics cards, i cannot help you out as I only know about the elgato! (both elgato's are amazing)

I would suggest the following:

Roxio Game Capture HD PRO: $102 with discount @ Roxio website. Can record up to 1080p with HDMI or 1080i/720p with Component. Can use software to live stream to YT or Twitch.

Elgato Game Capture HD60: Can record up to 1080p@60fps for butter smooth video. Does not support component or legacy outputs(HDMI only, no composite or component). Cost: $180

Hauppague HD PVR 2 Gaming edition: Cost $150-$160(depending on where you get it from. Records up to 1080p@60fps.

I plan on doing quality tests for the PVR2 next week if you are interested.

I use the Avermedia Game Capture hd (first model) so far it never left me on foot.
The second model also has HDMI support, give it a shot.

If you do not have a PC near your consoles, then get the live gamer portable so you can put your gameplay on a SD card or external hard drive and transfer it to your computer
