I'm looking for a good video editor for Windows.
To give a little backstory.
I initially tried Lightworks on my Mac. It seemed ok and much better than iMovie (which I don't particularly like), but the free version is very limiting, so I turned to ScreenFlow. I found that ScreenFlow simplified the process of editing videos. It was also less buggy. Lightworks frequently crashed on me and it could seems to have lots of problems with clips that have a different frame rate.
I am travelling for around six weeks and will be using my Windows laptop to work. It has never been an issue for me to use my Mac for most of my work at home and Windows on the road. However, I cannot seem to find a good alternative to ScreenFlow.
Ideally, I would like to use a video editor for Windows that offered similar features to ScreenFlow. And hopefully such a product would be free or under $50, as when I return home in six weeks I will likely return to using ScreenFlow. Therefore, it seems silly to me to spend a lot of money on a Windows only solution for the time being.
Are there any good cheapish Window video editors out there?
Windows Movie Maker seems too basic. Anyone have any experience with alternatives such as VideoLan or Shotcut?
