Going Viral vs Steady Growth

I think steady growth will just happen over time. And for a viral video to happen, you just need to make something that hasn't really been done before (very hard to do).
And if your content is good, your steady growth will grow even more after that viral video.
 
a viral video is good but just don't really have the mentality of "im gonna make a Viral video" cause Viral videos are strange it'll either happen or it won't... just keep making good content and make sure you love what you upload and work hard! :) i've never had a viral video either.. Nor have alot of the people i watch but they have grown alot over the past year.

Nice! Could I pm you about how you promote? I don't really know what I'm doing LOL Like as far as bettering the content goes I'm doing fine, but knowing how to promote it I'm kinda clueless...

Feel free to PM, but we've done nothing but put up links on Facebook and Twitter-and it doesn't actually help that much. The best I've seen from Facebook is 1.5% of views coming from a link that was posted there.

It's really interesting reading your experience over the past 2.5 years. I'm glad to see that it's all paying off for you and your channel!
 
It's not really a matter of viral vs. slow growth. Going viral is more just a power up. It can make you famous, or just help you out a little. Dead subs are never fun though.. :(
 
I've been building up my subscriber base for a while, and I have a loyal audience. Whereas, viral videos don't actually have a high number of subscription rates and the audience doesn't care about the channel as much.
