Goals for your YouTube channel?

My goal is to make reliable and easy achievement guides (as many as I can) consider it achievement guides for dummies.
 
No goals yet, I don't know what my channel is yet...and I don't really know what to expect...

for example today I got my first "thumbs down" on a video, I'm assuming it's normal and trying not to let it get to me. So maybe in 3 months I'll start setting goals...But I agree with Pearl, I want this to be FUN.

Yeah getting thumbs down is normal, look at all the big Youtubers, the majority of them normally getting hundreds per video. I personally thought I'd be getting more thumbs down due to the market I'm in, so I'm really happy that highest amount of dislikes I've had on one video is 3, but with 19 likes also on that video. Dislikes mean nothing to me, unless they really start effect my channel via some '*******' (excuse me French) getting loads of people to dislike all my videos like I've seen one or two people complain about :)
 
My only real goal is 1k subs by the end of the year.

For life time goal would probably that I eventually earn actual fans. Not just subscribers, but fans. That's the ultimate goal for me.

I usually add +50 subs and +5,000 views every month. And when I don't reach it for that month, I usually add half of it to the next month (Let's say I got 240 subs and my goal was 250, the next month my goal will be 275). I like to push myself, but keep it reasonable. I don't like to set goals for myself that I know I will take a long time/never accomplish.
