.. Glitched likes + view count?

Youtube do not specify an amount of time because it will be different for other videos, other counrtries, how many different places the views are coming from and how busy the server is in your area.

@AmberAndGolden if you click on your 301+ views, hit 'learn more' and read from there, you can check their forums and post a question to them. As this has been happening a ton for the past few years, they get a LOT of the same question, and will probably only take action in certain circumstances. Analytics takes a few days to update, so if there's still no updates in there, give them a message where you can.
also, keep it monetised as they state themselves: "During the time in which the view count appears frozen, valid views will continue to be counted."

have you re-uploaded the video? I posted one a while back that came out in horrible quality, so I deleted and re-uploaded, and it really glitched the system. The video no-longer showed up in newest videos, and a veiwer would have to go to main uploads to see it. it was also stuck on 301+ for around 4 days.

:help:
So, On one of my videos, My 'THE BOOK OF ANSWERS!' video, I had about.. 50 views? Maybe up to 70 or 80, MAX, and like 5 likes.. A few days ago I looked back to my channel and was like Ooh! 301 views!
Thats cool, It's still stuck at 301 after a few days, and the LIKES is what bothers me most..
Like I said, I had 5 likes, now I have 364... Yep, 364.
This is obviously a glitch, I clicked to like the video myself to see if it would shoot back down to 6, what it should be, but it just went up to 365.. I know this can't be right, and I've checked on my analitics, but it's not there

Does anyone know what's going on? Should I contact YouTube or just leave it..?
I feel like someone might think I BOUGHT these likes or something! I don't even think you can do that, But I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea...

send help! :eeks:
They could have minus the views you view your own videos.

Even if updates are different for different locations of the world, if you completely remove the 301+ view count from the situation you can't honestly sit there and tell me it makes sense.

On my analytic it says I have like, 60 views... Which seems accurate, But it still says 365 likes which is wrong.. Obviously, How can I have 365 likes on a video with aprox 60 views? This is annoying haha!

relax everyone this isnt a bot attack. For videos that gain more than 300 views in an hour or few hours, youtube caps it off at 301+ and it will stick there for a while. If you ever catch a popular YouTuber's video early enough you will also see the 301+ stuck views. The likes and comments are not capped off by youtube, so what you are seeing here is the normal likes and comments, and not seeing your total views. Once youtube does their validity checks and things cool off a bit, they will update the views to show them. They will only be updated every few hours or more after that.#

My videos stick on 301+ for about a day sometimes, and then only update a few times a day to show the real view number.

Anyways, it's certainly, nothing to worry about, and something to celebrate as a video thats popular enough for youtube to have to put 301+ to keep up with it :p

Absolutely DO NOT disable monetization, you will be missing out on your own success[DOUBLEPOST=1431079497,1431079182][/DOUBLEPOST]
This is very misleading and is not true. it's also not a glitch and is youtube's system to not have to real-time update popular videos.
and to check themselves that you aren't getting botted.
Hello Lightsen,

There's someone botting members of YTTalk and I've been a victim too. Usually my slow videos have like 2/3 views an hour, but it suddenly jumped to 40 views an hour, and all those 40 were liking my videos.

Result is getting 270 bot views with 270 likes in a period of 4 hours thus capping at +301. Youtube might think it's suspicious, so it blocked many views, even the genuine views for some time. I were really p****d at that moment, since I knew for sure I would have more then 301 genuine views at that time.... Now it's more or less normal again, but I have just 340 views while I'm sure I have more if that bot attack didn't happen

Sorry guys, though I know a lot of people dont know about or understand the 301+ thing which is why I mentioned it, but botting seems to be right if the analytic views are lower than likes. who else has it been hapening to? can you source the views to somewhere? maybe check fan circles if you can they may show up on there with so many likes?
Im not sure how botting works, but youtube seems to be able to tell with squealcat's video and edited accordingly, but hopefully they don't presume its the creator thats doing this and strike us :s

Yeah, it's very weird, and I haven't thought about checking analytics for the source.

I just did and 57 from Brazil and second 25 from USA. Most likely that person comes from Brazil and sometimes uses proxies to bot...

Nothing weird in Fan Circles. I assume botting is common in Youtube world, and it's harsh to punish Youtubers for something they don't do. It's not obvious the Creator is doing it. It will be more obvious if that happened a lot to unpopular videos.

Now the drive of the person who bots.... I don't know. Maybe he thought he was some kind of a Samaritan, trying to give people free views. Or maybe he was just testing his bot.

Mysteries, but a way to solve this problem is to remove the video from the signature. Or put a unpopular video there

Which country the views are from? If they are from Russia or similar, they are botted, that's from where the views are when they are botted

Read my last post :)

And off course not all views from Russia aren't necessary bots. That's like saying all Americans are fat. I have a good portion of subs and genuine views from Russia.
