Giveaways, is it the same as buying subs?

I have been thinking of doing a give away on my channel, i only have 181 subs and i get roughly 25% of that in views per video so i could have as many as 45 loyal viewers and i felt like rewarding them with a giveaway.

I know that some channels use giveaways to bump their subs but i feel like if you sub just to get something you won't really care about that persons videos as much but maybe i am wrong.

Is a sub a sub no matter how you get it short of just outright paying for it? is having a giveaway and saying you need to like and subscribe to qualify the same as buying subs?

I would love some feed back

Youtube has a live streaming feature ? you could schedule a youtube livestream so all your subscribers will know in advance. If live streaming isnt your thing then just put a section at the end of one of your videos just simply saying something like, comment on this video to get entered into a giveaway for so and so.

That is what i was planning on, but i am worried people might subscribe just to win and then never watch another video and those kind of subs i don't want. Maybe it's unavoidable but it's still something i am thinking about.

That sometimes the issue with giveaways, people usually only sub to try and win it and then hate you because they didn't win it. :P

Just state that you only need to comment and not subscribed etc, literally say the words that subscribing or sharing doesnt help you win, just comment and leave it at that.

dont do my old channel had 104 subs guess how many views? like 12 views average dont to its pretty much buying subs like you said if you really want to do a giveaway dont make it a requirment to sub
