Hello! My name is Anthony, I have been making videos for a couple of years now and I just recently picked up a professional program, this is my first video made in Sony Vegas and I am very excited about how powerful this program is, anyways I'd like to know what you guys think, if you post your opinion feel free to post a video and I'll let you know what I think.

Wow, I liked that quite a bit. It was really well done. The only thing I didn't like was how long and frequent the black segments were.

People can't post videos in someone else's review thread, so if you want to give someone an opinion you'll have to pick one from their channel in their signature.

If this is your first time using Vegas, I applaud you! You did a pretty good job!

The only things I'd critique would be that some of the edits were a bit choppy, you didn't cut in time and the next scene would flash for a frame. Also, if you were going for syncing the cuts with the music, most cuts were either too early or too late, as well as the drops not being emphasized. I agree with Idec, a lot of the black screens were a bit too long. Not much of a critique, but using Xbox's Jump Ahead trailer in the finale doesn't really match what you are going for, and could give you a copyright strike.

Regardless, keep working at it! Editing takes a ton of practice, so keep making these and they'll get better every time!

Go ahead and critique my channel if you'd like, I'm open to any suggestions!

Thank you for replying! Yes, I agree I need to work on better transitions than just a black screen, my next one will definitely have more thought into that aspect, I looked at your channel and I gotta say you have an interesting concept there, I really like the Imagine Dragons, Demons video, Perhaps you should think of doing the samurai jack theme, I think it would fit your style quite well

Thanks! I'm always looking for suggestions and requests of videos to make. I'll definitely check that one out. I've only watched a few episodes of that when I was younger.

I really want to do a series (I have an idea that is good in my opinion) and I just want to make sure my editing is really good before I start, I want my videos to have good sound and video quality, that being said what kind of mic do you use? Also I like your commentary, I think you should do some kind of sarcastic review of a game or a de hype preview of a game, your humor would be perfect for something like that

For commentary I use the standard microphone on my Turtle Beach PX22s (with a lot of audio editing) and for voice over work and vlogs I use an Audio-Technica ATR-2500, I am saving for an Audio-Technica AT-2035 which could do both, with better quality (but I wouldn't suggest it for a first time mic, it'll break your bank). For the best general starter mic, use a Blue Snowball.
If you're doing let's plays, your editing is already above average, for heavily edited reviews, I suggest practicing a bit more, learning the features on your version of Vegas and watching some tips and tricks tutorials!

Thanks for the kind words by the way! I've been thinking about doing some sort of E3 video about all the stuff I saw and being extra cynical about it, I think I'll try that! Good luck with your channel, if you need any more help send me a message through Youtube or on here!
