Girl Youtubers!

Big male vloggers that I like are people like Mike diva, if you havent herd of him, hes got some really good stuff :)

Ill look him up now but I will rarely watch a vlog unless its a person who makes other content I'm interested in and they have like a separate vlog channel or just upload random vlogs. In all honesty my life has just been so different/violent/crazy/drama filled that I can never really relate to people who make vlogs. When I watch vlogs I usually sit there at the end thinking that I really don't belong in this world.

This is rather interesting, considering I saw a topic like this on Facebook this evening. Now the main topic on the Facebook Discussion was that girls don't know where the limit is when it comes to being an 'Internet Comedian'. Since it is fairly easy to offend a large group of people, I kind of had to agree. Now you can point fingers and call me sexist all you want, but there are not a lot of girls that are aware that the internet does have boundaries, and it is pretty easy to cross them. xD I even had this problem with a few of my earlier vlogs as 'Pawtaytoe'.

In your case, you do have the talent and motivation to make great videos. But it's not every girls cup of tea, and what's one thing 99.99% of girls are good at? MAKEUP. To see girls doing make up/hair tutorials is great, I personally enjoy seeing more females breaking onto the 'YouTube Scene'. But even for this, it's not for everyone.

You dont sound "sexist" at all, to me anyways LOL and Yes ive seen plenty of the girls that give us a bad name XD Luckily (or unluckily) for me I am terrified of offending people XD sooo ive tried to stick with simple vlogs so far. and if someone were legitimately offended by a video of mine id probably take it down asap

to get more noticed as a "girl youtuber" ya know

I'm skeptical about this as a strategy. There are so many YouTube personalities that it's not necessarily going to be very effective to brand yourself as a "girl youtuber", any more than it would be effective for me to brand myself as a "boy youtuber".

If you look at the demographics of the very successful female YouTubers (JennaMarbles, DailyGrace, Meekakitty, CommunityChannel, etc), they're largely the same as the demographics for the male YouTubers. We're all playing the same game, and making videos for the same wide audience.

Only herd of jenna XD I should probably search youtube more LOL well you do make ALOT of sense in the aspect of we are equal, im in no way trying to separate the genders, just wish there was more funny girls on youtube, its fun watching people like pewdiepie and smosh making amazingly funny skits but I wanna see some more funny girls!

Believe me, I am aware of that. But from what I've seen, sometimes girls go a litttttle bit over the edge with some of their stuff.

I think you've had a unique experience. Admittedly, sociologists kinda suck when it comes to profiling the internet, but your experience doesn't seem to be representative of what's common.

(just a mini-bitty rant-y?)
We need more awesome girl vloggers!! legit vloggers! No more "makeup gurus"! its honestly not that hard to buy some makeup and put it on in front of the camera or show off things you buy and tell others are great!

I may not be great yet, but once i get my new camera, and get to cali where i can make friends and make more legit skits, im going for a youtube take over from the boys :D ...erm...slowly but surely anyways XD One step for girl kind! lols
