Getting Reported for Replying to Comments on *my* Video?!

So I've had this cheeky girl who has been posting all sorts of negative comments on one of my videos where I discuss why I chose to be Childfree. I have found it entertaining to respond to all her comments, but I've never once been rude, I never called her names. I have been nothing but polite in my responses.

Now she's threatening to "report me," because I keep replying to her comments because I must have "no life."

Um it doesn't take more than a minute (or less) to reply, it's hardly taking up more than 0.01% of my day.

If she did try to report me, is there anything that could happen to my account? Just wondering if I should worry or if it's just an idle threat.

If it's just her, you'll be fine. If she goes and gets TONS of people to flag your comments n' stuff, it could be bad, potentially.

Do I get notified if a video gets flagged?

Course not YouTube staff check flags/ reports, if it doesn't break the ToS it won't get taken down.

If it's just one person, it usually doesn't have any affect.

You'll be notified if it gets to a point where action needs to be taken. If not, you should be fine. Not really sure about that one, lol.

Since YouTube is tightening down on view counts, I am sure they are making sure all reports are also genuine. So I am sure nothing will happen. And if she does report you, would her reason be you don't have a life? I have only ever had 1 negative commenter, I replied back twice and gave up and blocked them from commenting on any of my videos again. So maybe you should just do that, it might be easier in the long run - that is up to you though, but it would stop her from reporting you

Thanks everyone - I just wanted to make sure she couldn't really "get me." Instead I told her off and told her that she should stop commenting on MY videos if she didn't like my replies. (Yes, I could block her, but I generally don't unless someone is being a major creep).

The person I blocked was weird as! But I wasn't entirely sure on what the person on your comments was saying Glad it is all sorted for you now though.
