Getting back into Youtube, is Minecraft still a popular video topic?

Gaming is very washed out, but if you can find a niche within the gaming you may stick. Like Fortnite is very popular at the moment, but this one guy made interesting gameplays like "Winning a game of Fortnite without using a gun" and it got him a lot of views. Basically what I'm saying is, if you can find something really interesting and never done before in Minecraft you may get some traction. However, if not, it'll be very hard. As others have said here Minecraft has been done to death, I can only imagine it to be extremely difficult starting a gaming channel nowadays since it's been done to death. I imagine it's still possible to find a niche though, like playing obscure games that people might not have heard of
