Get more Twitter Followers?

Hey guys!

So right now I'm approaching 15,000 subscribers but only have around 550 followers on Twitter. I try to mention it in most videos for my viewers to follow me but do you have any other tips to get people to follow you? I'd love to hear how you guys get your followers!
 
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. With 15,000 subs, most of your growth should come naturally, not so much from advertisement on social media. Once your channel gets developed to the point yours is, social media is mostly just for your most die hard fans who want to know everything that's going on with you as soon as possible. Basically, you should just keep doing what your doing and as your subs grow, so will the twitter followers. Also, never be off put by the ridiculous ratios, I realize how it seems when having 15,000 subs and only 550 followers, but honestly that's not that bad of a ratio, despite it seeming so. I.E., Markiplier has 2.5 million subs, but only 200k followers on twitter. Even Pewdiepie has only 3 million twitter followers to his 27 million subs.
 
With that many subs, why not make a video directly asking them to follow you on twitter? But you'd have to give them a reason for it. Try doing a contest/giveaway for your twitter followers. Just make a video announcing it on your YT channel.

I'm just about to hit 50,000 Subscribers and only have just over 1k on Twitter. I usually ask them to follow at the end of a video which might be the reason why they don't follow as 83% of viewers click off a video in the last 10-20 seconds.
 
Swear like you're a sailor in the 1950's in your tweets. That's most likely what got me most of my followers.

LOL... Seriously though, I agree with the giveaway idea. That's pretty neat, but they might not stick around afterwards. You can't really force people to follow you. All you can do is ask, and hope for the best.
 
I'm relatively new to Twitter so I'm in the same boat, hardly any Twitter followers. The ones I've picked up have been through personal connections.
