(Gaming)Video Feedback: New Editing style

Quick, short, and to the point. I've had many different youtube channels over the last 3 years and this my first time ever making a video in this style and it shows, I feel. Was the jumpcuts harsh, audio quality okay, too short, or just plain boring? What did I do right or wrong? I wouldn't mind thumbnail advice either.

Hey, really love the name of the channel - how did you come up with it? sounds very memorable :) As to the rest, here goes:

audio
the quality of your audio sound really good, and that is one of the things I usually pay a lot of attention toand I feel it would benefit from a bit of compression to even out the jumps in volume. Also there is a slight disproportion in volume between the game sound and your commentary, maybe bringing them closer together would be beneficial.

thumbnails
you might want to figure out a way to make thumbnails clickworthy and having branding, whether logo or pictures of you - something that makes the thumbnails your thumbnails. Also text is best absorbed together, putting it all over the screen makes it hard to read.

cuts
I usually cut only when absolutely necessary, and like to have as much of the story undisturbed as possible. I've seen people being very succesful with bothc approaches - editing or not, just find what works with you.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll take your audio considerations into account as that's something i'm still figuring out. Now I actually haven't figured out thumbnails at all, but I am going to start using a minimalist approach and just stick with the game title and number. I'm also gonna spend the next few days with photoshop to rebrand my logo and banner to replace the ones I did with paint.net, so I'll probably start adding that to them when I have one I like.

Were the cuts well timed/not jarring though? Personally I like the jumpcut style as a viewer and a creator, especially with the way youtube is setup now. Heavy edits lead to shorter videos, which are more likely going to have higher retention percentage.

hmm, what would be the best way to describe it - the cuts felt as if you were running away from the video being too long more than as if you were trying to run towards the video being snappy.

I know what you mean! That's also kind of true. Again, it was my first time doing it and I went a little overboard with it. I think it's something I can work out with more practice. Thanks again.
