Just be yourself dude. Don't try to act like something you're not (Cough cough pewdiepie)

Have fun with it! That's the number one thing I think for gaming videos. Some people's commentary sounds like they are super bored lol. Commentaries don't have to be 100% about the game, so feel free to talk about anything you want (something happening in your life, news, school, work, etc). A lot of people think doing commentary means to strictly talk about the game, and they run out of things to say lol.

-Make sure you have the right stuff to make the videos first. Good filming software for PC or a good capture card is a MUST. Also, no one wants to see a Bandicam or other recording software logo.
-Practice before actually making a Let's Play. Start playing games while talking to yourself. I mean, DON'T record yourself doing this. Practice makes perfect, just like with any other time of videomaking.
-Don't use facecam. No one likes it. I found that out the hard way, and I've had it confirmed by a lot of other Let's Players
-Convey as much emotion with your voice as you can...naturally. I add naturally because you don't want to sound "fake".
-Don't try to imitate other let's players. Develop your own style.
-Keep trying. If people don't like your initial videos, don't be disheartened. You're always getting better.

Hope I helped.

Thanks to everyone who has posted ill take this all into consideration when making the videos :) ill keep you all posted with my progress!

I could give you some advice, from when I started and how I became to be today.
My episode 9 is coming out, and it's much much more improved than my other monotoned episodes.

so me and my friends like to come up with our yt commentating ideas when we r playing xbox or at school or just chillin'. We usually come up with ideas to commentate on like for example,"what would you do if you could stop time." or "what is a normal day in school in you/just a normal day" then we would go on to talk ab it like for the school thing we were like we like to mess with people and teachers and chat n explained how we mess with people n stuff.

so basically you have to be completely random, people love random commentates. they are all over YouTube
