Gaming montages....

I was just wondering wether I should choose the music before editing, or if its ok to edit before even choosing a song to put along with it.
I think it is better to choose the music first, to get a precognised idea of what you want to do in the edit...
What do you guys think ?

And, How about the main problem for a gamer/youtuber: where can one find cool and original non-copyrighted music/songs ?

The only sources I use are the following (go check em out):
soundcloud.com/nocopyrightsounds
youtube.com/user/MrSuicideSheep

Never fear! Quiz Lamp here!

You should find the music first because sometimes it would be better to have the video match the rhythm of the music. You don't always need to, though.

Also, I find all my music here: because I'm lazy and it's right there.
lol hahahah indeed you are pretty lazy, but thats a s**t library if u wanna make good quality gaming montages (if not pro mntages)
but thanks for the answer anyways :D

Check out Teknoaxe, RoyalTrax, audionautix.com, FloidBeats, and AudioPad on Youtube if you want some sick and Royalty Free tunes. :winkphones:

I've used the audio library on a number of occasions for highlights, montage videos and even in LPs. The music in the Audio Library is fine, it's on par and sometimes even better than some of the sites I've found. If people feel that the music from the audio library suits their video then they should use it, using music from a 3rd party site doesn't automatically make it a good quality montage or a "pro montage". It's how you use the music with the cuts.
