Gaming Copyright Video Blocked

Hey everyone 2 days ago I spent 7 hours uploading a video of myself playing NBA 2K14. NON-MONETIZED. Well youtube blocked the video and it won't show up on my feed nor my subscribers cant open it through their emails. It says it's blocked in some countries since the content is owned by EMI and my view was "alright as long as the majority of my subbies in usa can see it".....nope. So, obviously there's nothing I can do, but other youtubers that uploaded that gameplay didn't experience this issue. It was the first in an entirely new series. So, should I re-upload with credits in the description to avoid a video block? Advice?
 
Did you play the game without any commentary or something like that? That might be why they took it down. Maybe it had to do with the music in the game. :/
 
In the past, before I was partnered, on a video that no longer exists... this happened to me. I ended up re-rendering it with a 3-4 minute introduction/me talking over the prior commentary and I lowered the game volume in the new render so that music wasn't as loud. This worked.
 
If you upload video game footage without commentary it will get flagged. The only game that allows for non commentary uploads is Minecraft "that i'm aware of" so if you haven't commentated over it make sure you do so. Then you can upload the game.

Yeah, there are a few more - namely indies, that allow it. FTL is one that largely supported people posting gameplay. However, it's better safe than sorry - talk over that game!

haha well said! btw your name sounds extremely familiar. Did you ever work at TGN? Or get on the Pimp My Channel series? I feel like I remember you from something over there.

I worked with George post TGN a little with MMO.TM and Any.TV. Maybe I had applied for Pimp My Channel, but I dont think I was ever on it. It's a unique name, so you probably have seen me around here or somewhere else :)

Ah yeah! That's what it was. I was on the original team on MMO.TM and he had you playing that free to play game and writing up strategy guides. I'm Mike. I was in charge of the video side of things, but then he sent me over to help Benny at N4Gtv.
