Gamers please help

I prefer to use individual software to record my microphone, gives you more freedom to normalise, adjust and add in effects as you wish.

First of all, what is he recording from, a capture card or from PC? The only ones that i know of for recording PC gameplay are as follows:

FRAPS,
Dxtory,
Camtasia studio,
Bandicam,
Hypercam,

Out of those, Dxtory is probably your best option for recording gameplay, Bandicam for recording anything on your screen - doesnt lock to game windows only.

All of those will record WINDOWS sound ONLY (game sound) so you will have to download something like Audacity (free) to record microphones - its what i, as well as 80% of youtubers use.

I use OBS (open broadcast software) it can record your screen in 1080p and also it can do picture in picture with facecam overlaying the game recording.

I kinda like it cuz it's an all in one kinda package. To each their own tho:p I haven't streamed before yet.
It depends on what style you go for. I dont need to use the features like, image-on-image, text overlays e.c.t, all i need is my gameplay recorded so to me, using OBS would be overkill and far too bulky and unnecessary for my needs. I have no layout for recording. Streaming on the other hand is different, i need my layout, my chat and my gameplay so OBS is perfect.
