Gamers, do you keep all RAW files of recordings?

Hello Fellows,
I wonder if you keep all the RAW files of gameplay recordings and if you do, why?

Is it because you want to have some kind of a proof to show Youtube if needed if you run into issues
(if someone stolen your video, and you need to show Youtube a proof that you are the original creator of that video)?

I still have most of raw files (gameplay recordings) and id like to free up some space on my HDD and want to delete those RAW files, but if its important to keep them for proof, i'll keep, please advice.

Thank you! :)

No, i'm not even thinking about saving my files recorded with Fraps, because they are like 100GB each. That would mean that this would be my room:

When I made gaming videos I chucked out my raw files after a month or so. What I would do is pick out funny bits or bits I want to keep and render them, and then throw out the rest (I might have an hour of raw, but only ten minutes of useable stuff).

If you run into issues (say someone cries video theft, when you haven't stolen it), they will have to provide proof as much as you will, so I don't see the point in keeping raw files forever on the very slim chance that happens.

If it's a commentary, it'll have your voice, or your face, or both, so they can't prove anything.

No, after they're all rendered out I delete the RAW files (the one that come directly from the recording software) and then after I upload, I delete the edited files. Google has an option that lets you back up all your videos so I'm not worried on losing anything.

I keep them while they are projects I'm working on for Let's Plays, but I intend to delete the raw files when I have fully edited them and had them for a while.

I keep them, until I have uploaded a video the week after, I don't think you need them as proof, since your video would be uploaded before the other one :)

I keep all my recordings from League of Legends games i have played. (I dont record every single game i play tho)

I think i have around 30 full league games saved, maybe even more.

I save them partly because im overall really bad at getting rid of stuff (my tiny appartment is FILLED with crap by now haha) and because i sometimes come up with ideas for videos where some of the old recordings can be used or reused. And then its great to still have them.

I have 500GB HDD kept for recordings, once I reach 400GB of recordings I delete them, getting to 400GB with FRAPS is easy....
